First Aid Courses April 2010

Wilderness First Aid April 17/18 (2 Days)

This course has two primary goals:

to equip participants with lifesaving skills – ABC's
to develop basic skills to handle common wilderness injuries

Wilderness first aid courses have two optional components: CPR certification and anaphylaxis workshop. If either or both are added to a course program becomes 18 hours in length.

Wilderness Advanced First Aid April 24-27 (4 days)
Wilderness Medical Associates

Specifically designed for the unique demands of remote settings, this course focuses on three areas. First, how to treat injuries when you are hours or days from a hospital. Second, you will learn how to give care in extreme environments of cold, heat, or altitude. Finally, this course focuses on working with limited equipment and improvising.

Bridge Course To Wilderness First Responder April 29–May 2 (4 Days)
