H I Everyone, The May 16,17, 2009 Paddle Party and Open House will be quite a fine time and we hope you can come. Here's the preliminary schedule for the weekend - to give you an idea of what's happening.
Here is the reader's digest version....
Very children friendly but Please Leave Rover at home. Benji has enough to do dealing with visitor enquiries and directing traffic - thanks.
- It's all free - but we're asking for donations to the Harvest Share Foodbank. If you reply back and tell us when you're coming and what you're interested in , we'll put your name in the hat for an awesome outdoor gear raffle. We have donations from over 10 leading companies - and by you replying - we'll have an idea of how many folks to expect and when - so thanks!
- We'll provide boats as needed, but if you have your own boat and gear, please bring it. Try to carpool if you can, and be careful on our road, as it looks quiet, but it ain't!
- Bring a picnic and come whenever you like. We'll have hot coffee and conversation on for both days.
- Instructors from all over Ontario are coming and there will be lots of demonstrations, paddling opportunities and chances to learn tons about canoeing, kayaking and camping.
- We're focussing on thebeginner paddler - but there will be lots for the keeners as well.
- Don't miss the Cole Lake Cardboard Kayak Race on Sat and on Sunday, the World Record Attempt for Most Boats Floating on Cole Lake - gonna be tough, but Cole Lake isn't that big, and we do have a lot of boats?!?
I wanted to get this out to you in case you were fixin' to come and needed details. The schedule may change a bit, but this will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect. Please let us know if you have any questions - if you're coming, and we'll be posting presenter lists and more updated info on the Paddle Party page -
Thanks for listening and hope to see you over the weekend - bye for now - tim {rokintensedebate} |
