Hoot and Blat in the Cold

HI Winter Fans!

This Thurs. Feb. 11 I'll be speaking at the London Paddle Shop (Nova Craft)from 7-9pm and wanted to invite you if you're bored.  It's free and the long-winded title (much like the speaker) will be "Tall Tales, Tips & Tricks for Paddling Georgian Bay"  Through songs, stories, artifacts and amazing four season Bay photos we'll take you on an armchair paddle and ski. You'll even see Captain Jack starring in a TV show - that's worth the price of admission right there!  More Info

Seguin_Mail_Run_04.thumbJust in case you thought I was kidding earlier about dogs ripping around on Cole Lake - we've posted the video online.  White Squall is a sponsor of the upcoming Seguin Sled Dog Race on Feb. 20th featuring the Royal Mail being carried the old fashioned way - and guess what - it gets there undamaged and on-time.

Our first snowshoe hike was a sellout -  Ace Wilderness Guides (AWG) Christine and Annie had a grand afternoon with a hearty bunch in the bush.  The last one of the season is Feb. 20th - call 746-4936 if you need a late winter bush wander.

Registrations for trips and courses have been roaring in these past few weeks.  Some trips are over half full and in a blatant bit of self promotion - you should know that as far as we can tell with this new HST thingy - if you pay in full before May 1 - you'll avoid additional provincial sales tax. So - if you were pondering paddling - best to git 'er done now and save a bzillion pesos.

Fred Eaglesmith is bringing his band for the May Long Weekend Paddle Party.  It's our 25th anniversary year celebration and it's gonna be fun.  If you want to see Fred - please call in now for tickets ($20. 705-746-4936)

Ok, enough for now - well maybe a joke you can use when there's a pregnant pause in office conversation....  What's green and sings?  Elvis Parsley!

Thanks for listening and may the snow of happiness fly up your frozen nose...tim
